KBR aquires CI

In early 2008, Catalyst Interactive was acquired by KBR (Kellogg, Brown & Root), a leading global engineering, construction and services company supporting the energy, petrochemicals, government services and civil infrastructure sectors.

KBR employs over 50,000 people worldwide in locations that include Australia, USA, Africa, the U.K., Asia and the Middle East "KBR is a leader in providing training solutions. The acquisition will help KBR to be even more responsive to client needs and provide the opportunity to expand into new market areas in defence, government and private industry," said Bruce Stanski, President KBR Government and Infrastructure. "Catalyst Interactive provides a suite of technology that will not only provide efficiencies and cost savings to existing KBR training services for our clients, but will also extend and broaden KBR´s training and technology solutions offerings."

The acquisition will see Catalyst Interactive operate as an independent KBR subsidiary providing the same innovative core products and services, but also gives Catalyst Interactive the ability to draw upon KBR's vast global resources to increase the breadth and depth of services internationally.
